University of Illinois

Finally got my acceptance to the University of Illinois. I heard back from Truman too, I'm pretty sure that I will choose U of I, but I suppose it's not completely for sure. Mary Stahler and Sarah Evans plan to join me I believe. Adam Kambic may attend as well. That's all for now.

Congrats to Representative Gordon

Little late for this post, but congratulations to Representative Gordon and all of those that worked for her victory!

President Tisdale's Endorsement of Careen Gordon and John Pavich

President Tisdale has recently begun working volunteer and paid positions for Representative Gordon's campaign for re-election. He has found her to be a wonderful, most capable candidate in town, thus supporting her re-election. He's also had a few run-ins with the following candidates which he supports:

Careen Gordon, for State Representative
John Pavich, for Congress
Ann Gill, for County Board

Other Candidates:

Lou Kellogg, Richard Joyce, as well as Mr. Rodosky.

The Chancellorship and Presidents' Council

Recently a select group of students were selected to join Presidents' Council. Presidents' Council being a well resepected organization for many years was always held on a high pedestal by President Tisdale; however, this year there was a lot of talent passed up, e.i. the President Nelson and Secretary Nelson, as well as President Micetich.

Thus, the Nelson power conglamorate and President Tisdale began the supreme organization--The Chancellorship. The mission statement of The Chancellorship is "the mission statement of The Chancellorship is simply to better the world each day." If you are interested please request an application from one of the ambassadors.

Thank You,

Staffer

Daughters of the American Revolution

The President was recently nominated alongside Vice President Benson, the amazingly, diveresly talented Elizabeth Coslet, and the wonderful, inspiring gentleman, Kevin Tuskey as a candidate for the Daughters of the American Revolution scholarship. After a week of hunting down all of the seniors to vote Mr. Miller and Mr. Vigna informed President Tisdale that he had won the scholarship. The President would like to express that all of the candidates are people he finds to be impressive and great. The President would also like to thank all of the voting seniors for their continued support. Not only in the Daughters of the American Revolution polls, but also for the support in everything that he attempts.

Thank You,

Staffer

Thank You

Thank you to all of the voters. Thank you to all of the supporters. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this victory. Some of you understand how much I appreciate this position, and I thank you for returning me to it. Congratulations to Vice President Benson, Secretary Wills, Representative Tackett, and Representative Nelson. We all work very well together, and you've made the right choice returning us to office! Thanks again, and I hope you have a wonderful set of 4th Quarter grades, and an awesome summer! Adios.

God Bless, and Good Luck

Thank you to all of the voters, without you--obviously no election. Thank you soo much. Today was election day, today we voted, today the votes were calculated, and Monday they will be announced. Good luck to the candidates in all races, and in all grades! Have a wonderful weekend, and God bless ya!

Speeches go well

Both of the speeches went rather well. The President was quite nervous. Not necesarilly nervous to give the speech, but nervous about part of the debate actually being public speaking skills. Thanks to all that laughed and clapped!

Lost Time

President loses two crucial campaign days. With a temperature of 104.2 his mother doesn't allow him to go to school the day after, a candidate declares their candidacey. (Nor the day after that.) We'll get out of this rut! And we'll be back to school on Friday with full fledged campaigning! Thanks for reading. See ya'll tomorrow.

And the Race Begins!

This morning the announcment was made for those wishing to run for an office to collect a petition and gather 25 signatures of those in their class. President Tisdale immediately "busted out" the pins made the night before and began to distribute them. At the conclusion of 5th hour, President Tisdale recieved his petition and completed it. Once again, the President turned his petition in before any other candidate, making his name the first to appear on the ballots. Although "parties" are strictly not allowed, we would like to wish all candidates good luck, and may the best young women and young men win.

Pins Released by Campaign

(The President models the new pins in the photograph to the left, with the other Student Council Officers. Few know that after the class officers are elected, officers are nominated and voted upon of the entire student council. Dave Skaggs elected President, Blaine Tisdale Vice President, and Reilly Hamann Secretary Treasurer.) You may notice a new rush of campaign materials. The President stummbled on some buttons that Carmike Cinemas was tossing out and decided to place campaign stickers on them. They have been quite a hit, and the President has ordered 60 more. If you would like any campaign material, whether it be sticker, pencil/pen, or pin, feel free to ask; however, it is unlikely that you won't be asked first.

"Best of Luck!"

"Best of Luck!" reads the first inadvertent campaign move by Tisdale2007. The campaign honestly wishes the Juniors the "Best of Luck!" on their ACTS tomorrow. The campaign has prepared 4 boxes of 24 pencils, that have various pictures placed on them, as well as the text "Champions of Greek Games, Champions of the ACTs" and "Best of Luck!" If you would like a pencil please see a campaign worker tomorrow morning, the President plans to make an appearance tomorrow morning at Coal City Restraunt. Good luck friends!
